wood floors...

we just bought a really cute house. there are beautiful oak floors throughout. so easy to clean, just run a dust mop around the house and sweep up the pile when you are done. i have carpet in the family room downstairs but that's it. my vaccuum sits in the corner all alone. he'll get over it.

yesterday i thought i would use some wood soap on the floors and they looked really great. and the house smelled really great too. nice and clean. later i was unpacking some boxes of cleaning supplies into the pantry when i came across a brand new bottle of furniture polish. gee, if i thought my floors looked great before...just imagine!

i am telling you right now, furniture polish is NOT made for wood floors! do not use it. EVER. it will cause you nothing but grief and pain. mostly pain. especially if you are wearing socks on the stairs. you're just gonna have to trust me on this one.
